THE NAME…
Pronounced "à la art"
…a creative term that borrows its structure from the French phrase "à la carte." In the context of the art world, "à la art" refers to an approach where artistic creations, techniques, and styles are chosen or created individually, akin to selecting items from a menu.
It embodies the spirit of artistic freedom and personalized expression, allowing artists to explore various mediums, styles, and concepts without being confined to a specific artistic genre or tradition.
A Letter From The Founder…
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with leading art galleries in Malaysia and Canada, as well as contributing to its inaugural pavilion at the 54th Biennale di Venezia. These experiences shaped my understanding of how art, culture, and commerce intersect on a global scale.
I founded A LA ART to create a space where artists, collectors, and professionals can connect and grow in meaningful ways. The mission is to bridge the gap between creativity and opportunity through curated services designed to meet the real needs of artists—especially those emerging, overlooked, or navigating today’s challenging art market.
